Arta abstractă nu transmite semnificații evidente; ea reprezintă o sinteză a formei, bazată pe surprinderea esenței lucrurilor prin eliminarea oricărei ornamentații inutile. Limbajul ei este universal, fără încărcătură istorică sau socială.
Poate fi percepută de persoane din culturi diferite și de vârste variate. Datorită naturii ambigue, privitorul poate interpreta liber procesul creativ din spatele unei lucrări abstracte. Kandinsky considera arta non-obiectivă drept modalitatea vizuală ideală de a exprima „necesitatea interioară” a artistului și de a transmite emoții și idei universale. El susținea că arta nu trebuie să reproducă obiecte pentru a fi impregnată de spiritualitate.

Lucrările prezentate sunt concepute ca abstracțiuni, deși fac trimitere la forme și structuri prezente în natură. Am început această serie după un eveniment traumatic din viața mea, moment în care am conștientizat fragilitatea existenței mele, iar echilibrul emoțional mi-a fost afectat.
Am încercat să redau acea experiență a „deşertului” mental și fizic doar prin culoare. Interesant este faptul că aspectul strict mecanic al picturii a devenit asemănător meditației și a avut un efect terapeutic asupra mea.

Desigur, privitorul poate trata aceste piese exclusiv ca pe lucrări axate pe aranjamente formale. Paleta cromatică dinamică și luminoasă transmite stări optimiste, iar seria urmează un arc emoțional: compozițiile inițial statice devin treptat mai fluide, ating un climax și apoi se îndreaptă către un diminuendo.

Abstract art does not convey obvious meanings; it’s the synthesis of form, based on grasping the essence of the matter by discarding any and all unnecessary ornamentation. its language is universal, without any historical or social baggage. It can be processed by people of various cultures and of different age. Due to the ambiguous nature of abstract art the viewer can interpret freely the creative process behind the work of art. Kandinsky viewed non-objective, abstract art as the ideal visual mode to express the “inner necessity” of the artist and to convey universal human emotions and ideas. He claimed that art does not have to reproduce objects and yet remains imbued with spirituality. Presented works has been conceived as abstract although it makes reference to shapes and forms present in nature. I have started working on this series after a traumatic event in my life. Subsequently I have realized the inherently fragile nature of my existence and my emotional balance has been lost as a consequence. I have tried to convey that experience of the mental and physical desert with colour only. Interestingly the strictly mechanical aspect of painting was meditation like and had therapeutic effect on me. The viewer can of course treat the pieces as work focused strictly on formal arrangements. The dynamic and bright palette conveys rather optimistic moods and the series follows the emotional arc.
